About the Artist:
Assaf was born in 1981 in Petah-Tiqwa, Israel and spent most of his youth playing, making and producing music. He started working as a freelance graphic designer in 2003, prior to commencing his studies of Visual Communications in the Graphic Design Department at the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. In 2005 he established with Uri Romano, the graphic design studio – nine99.
About the Artwork:
In Pink Scream I’ve combined linoleum cut with acrylic drawing. I’ve wanted to create tension in this piece using the two different techniques, the duotone hard contrast and of course the figure screaming up to the sky, witch is, for me, a “braking free” moment in the piece.
